ABERDEEN – The Aberdeen Police Department made an arrest Monday in relation to a string of breaking and entering cases that have plagued Aberdeen throughout the past several weeks.
Antonio Springer, 31, of Aberdeen was charged with breaking and entering following a report on Franklin Street. According to APD investigator Kelly Drake, Springer’s arrest lead to the recovery of two stolen cell phones, a 47-inch television and a 32-inch television.
“We’re doing good in cracking down on the B&Es. The reports have really slowed down and I want to thank the citizens for calling and letting us know of suspicious people in their neighborhoods. Because of that help, we’re making arrests and returning items to the rightful owners,” said Aberdeen Police Chief Henry Randle.
Randle said more arrests are expected soon in connection to the breaking and entering cases.
Springer is currently being held in the Monroe County Detention Center.
